Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect an email address when you download a plugin or join the list, we use it to tell you about new versions, we use Google Analytics to see which pages get read, we don't sell any of it, and the audio plugins themselves don't phone home.

This policy covers adrestia-audio.com and the plugins we ship. In this policy, “we” means Adrestia Audio.

What we collect

Downloads. To download a plugin you enter an email address. We record that address, which plugin you downloaded, which version, and when. That's how we know who to tell when a new version of that plugin ships.

The list. If you sign up in the footer or on a plugin page, we store your email address and where you signed up. No name, no tracking pixels in the emails.

Visits. Like every website, our host keeps standard server logs for a short time: the address your connection came from, the page requested, and the browser used. We use them for security and debugging, not to build a profile of you.

Saturation Box and Level Box. These run entirely on your machine. They don't send usage data, license checks, crash reports, or anything else back to us.

AIAPS. AIAPS is different by design: its job is to register your music with the AIAPS registry. When you protect a track it sends the audio fingerprint, the artist name, track title, and album you enter, and your account details to the registry, and it checks for new versions when it starts. What the registry keeps is covered by the AIAPS terms.

Who handles it

We're a small company and we rent our infrastructure. These companies process data on our behalf, on our instructions:

  • Supabase hosts the database that holds signups and download records.
  • Resend delivers the emails we send you.
  • Vercel hosts the site and keeps the server logs mentioned above.
  • Google runs Google Analytics for us, described in the next section.
  • Adobe Fontsserves the typeface you're reading. Your browser fetches it from Adobe's servers, so Adobe sees the request, including your connection address, under Adobe's own privacy policy.

All of this is stored in the United States. If you're somewhere else, your data is transferred there.

Who else sees it

Nobody else. We don't sell, rent, or share your email with marketers, and we don't trade lists. If a legal order ever forced us to hand data over, we'd follow the law. We don't expect that to happen.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages people read, roughly where visitors are from, and what kind of device they use. It sets cookies in your browser so it can tell a return visit from a new one. Google receives this data and handles it under its own privacy policy. We haven't turned on Google's advertising features, and Google Analytics doesn't store full IP addresses.

To opt out, install Google's browser add-on or block cookies for adrestia-audio.com. The site works the same either way. Beyond that, there are no marketing cookies, and we don't know whether you open the emails we send.

The Saturation Box page has a demo video hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the player comes from YouTube's reduced-tracking domain and YouTube may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Signup and download records stay until you ask us to delete them. When you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a do-not-email list so we never mail you by mistake. Ask, and we'll delete it entirely instead.

Your choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and mail apps that support one-click unsubscribe work too. Unsubscribing stops the emails. Downloads keep working. Entering your address in any form on the site puts you back on the list.

You can also write to hello@adrestia-audio.com and ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or have it deleted. We'll answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.

If you're in the EU or UK: we send you email because you asked for it, and we keep download records because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which versions are out there. You can object to either, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in California: we don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.

Kids

The site isn't aimed at children under 13, or under the age where you live if that's higher, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be called out in the newsletter.
