Terms of Use

Last updated · September 2026

These terms cover the plugins and the website at adrestia-audio.com. “We” means Adrestia Audio. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the plugins or the site.

Use at your own risk

The plugins and the site are provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Adrestia Audio is not liable for any damage, loss of work, lost income, or other harm that results from using or being unable to use the plugins or the site.

In plainer words: audio software can clip, crash, feed back, or otherwise behave in ways you didn't plan for. You are responsible for your levels, your monitors, your hearing, and your session backups.

Your license

Free plugins are free to use for any project, personal or commercial, on as many of your own machines as you like. You don't own the plugin; you have permission to use it.

Don't redistribute the installers, resell them, bundle them with something else, or strip the branding. Don't modify, decompile, or reverse engineer the plugins. Don't work around the download form.

If a plugin ships with its own license file, that file wins over this section. If you break these rules we can end your license, and you'll need to stop using the plugin.

Your recordings are yours

Anything you make with the plugins is yours. We claim no rights to your music, your mixes, or your sessions, and you owe us no credit, though we'd love to hear it.

What's ours

The plugins, their code and design, the Adrestia Audio name and logo, and everything on this site are ours and protected by copyright and trademark law. Don't use our name or logo to suggest we endorse something we haven't.

VST is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Audio Units and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names are the property of their owners.

Other sites

We link to sites we don't run, including the AIAPS standard at aiaps-standard.org. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies. Ours stop at the edge of adrestia-audio.com.

No promises about uptime

The site, the newsletter, and any download links may go down, move, or disappear. We try to keep things running. We don't guarantee it, and we may change or retire a plugin at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the plugins or the site after an update means you're fine with the new version.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, plus the privacy policy and any per-plugin license file, are the whole agreement between you and us.
